Young children quickly become excellent in a second language they hear spoken around them. If the professionals around the child estimate that your child might need more attention on their linguistic development, you will be offered a language screening for your child.  

The language screening will take place in the child's home together with the parents. The screening takes form of a play session with the child and a dialogue with the parents. If the test shows that your child need special attention, an extra effort will be put into place in the institution of your child, in order to secure the linguistic development.

The offer is not only for newcomer children: Danish children will also be offered screenings, if the professionals around the child have a concern about the linguistic development.
